Our engaging Wee Scallys room caters for children from birth to 2 years in a lovely bright and spacious environment which is the perfect place for your little one to grow in confidence.
The Wee Scallys will have the chance to participate in various developmental stage appropriate activities such as, messy and sensory play, story and song time, heuristic treasure baskets to name just a few. They will also have many opportunities to be out on regular local walks.
We fully understand that every Wee Scally in our care is a unique individual and we therefore work closely with you to ensure we follow your babies home routine as closely as possible. We will endeavour to make every effort to minimise any unnecessary upset when transitioning your baby from home to nursery.
Big Scallys provides for children aged 2-3 years and is set within a large yet inviting room with direct access to our secured wall garden. This room provides excellent opportunity to challenge gross motor skills on our indoor climbing frame whilst improving their fine motor skills through activities such as threading, cutting and various construction to name just a few.
Our Super Scallys room which is based on the ground floor provides for children between the ages of 3-5 years. Children within this room also have direct access to our secure outdoor play area. This room contains various learning areas each equipped with resources focusing on particular areas of the curriculum. These include writing and mark making, information technology, mathematics, construction, arts and crafts, role play, story telling area with puppet theatre and various others.
Here your child will continue to gain confidence and develop a wider range of skills providing a solid foundation for primary education.
We are lucky enough to have our own secured walled garden to the rear of the nursery allowing children to take part in physical activities, heighten their senses and explore outdoors.
Our Eco-garden is now also open, here the children can enjoy playing in the mud kitchen, planting and growing and spending time in our wigloo.
