Further Information
Care Inspectorate – Please click to read our most recent inspection report.
Keeping Parents Informed – All our families at Scallywags have their own personal access to the Famly app which allows parents to keep up to date with their child’s day including meals, sleep times and nappies. They can also see their learning and development, nursery events, attendance and accounts on a regular basis at a time to suit them as well as contact their child’s room and management at any time during the nursery day.
We hold annual parent’s evenings allowing you the opportunity to have a one-to-one discussion with your child’s keyworker about their progress and development as well as sending a small report home once a year.
Further to the above we have a Parent Working Group (PWG) which allows parents to work alongside staff in a small group to plan for improvement as a whole setting considering various factors, as well as social events, celebrations and charity events.
Closures – We are open Monday to Friday all year round with the exception of the Christmas break where we close at 4pm on Christmas Eve and do no reopen until after the New Year bank holidays.
Extra-curricular activities – We are thrilled to have Steven from Planet Soccer join us each Wednesday (term time) to work with some of our 2 years – school aged children. Steven has been working with us for several years and his sessions are always very popular with our Scallywags.
Planet Soccer coaches are UEFA qualified ex or current professionals. The sessions not only introduce children into football but build a foundation on various aspects of their development.
This is an additional cost and is not mandatory. For more information on Planet Soccer please contact the nursery.
Free Car Parking – There is a public car park situated across the footpath from the nursery building, which means no crossing busy roads at drop off and pick up.
